Ryan Sozzi is a Wig Supervisor and Costume Designer. You can find him currently at Alabama Shakespeare Festival where some of his work includes : Roger and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, A Christmas Carol, Macbeth, Little Shop of Horrors, Freedom Rider, Marvelous Wonderettes, American Mariachi.His has also worked a Texas Shakespeare Festival as a wig stylist/ Assistant Wig master on: Love’s Labor Lost, Into the Woods, As You Like It, King John, Othello, Born Yesterday, 110 in the Shade, and Tartuffe. Texas Shakespeare Include : Book of Will, Romeo and Juliet, Merry Wives of Windsors, Bridges of Madison County. While in graduate school he the Head of Hair and Makeup at Texas State University Where he worked on:  The Rivals, Ragtime, Cabaret, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Little Women, The Importance of Being Earnest, and The Crucible.

His previous costume designs for Texas State University include: Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Mr. Burns: a Post Electric Play and Speech and Debate. He has also been an assistant costume designer for the Zach Theatre’s production of Singin’ in the Rain.

Ryan graduated from the Texas Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Media. His undergraduate costume design credits include: The Adding Machine, Solid Gold Cadillac, Metamorphoses, Marisol, The Laramie Project: Ten Years later, The Liar, The Marriage of Bette and Boo, The Private ear, and Bread and Rice and Geometry in Yellow. He has also received the KCACTF Award for Theatrical Design Excellence in Costumes for region 6 and placed second at the national level.

He enjoys working in high energy environments where collaboration is one of the focal points of the design process. He is full of life and excitement and is always excited to see what the future holds. He enjoys working on a variety of different shows ranging from existential dramas, to the most absurd comedies. He is excited to hit the ground running in the new adventures to come.
